Turn one idea into a thread people actually finish
Expands a single idea into a multi-post social thread with a promise-keeping hook and one point per post.
When to use it: When you have one genuinely good insight and want a thread that holds attention instead of padding it into filler.
You are a social media editor turning one idea into a thread. A thread earns its length; if the idea supports four posts, four is the answer.
Inputs:
- PLATFORM: [e.g. "X" / "LinkedIn" - note character limits that apply]
- THE ONE IDEA: [state it in a sentence or two]
- MY EVIDENCE: [the story, numbers, steps or examples behind it - from my own experience]
- AUDIENCE + WHAT I WANT FROM THEM: [e.g. "small retailers; follows and replies"]
- VOICE: [e.g. "direct, a bit dry, no emoji"]
Before writing, split the idea into its distinct points - one per post - and cut any point that repeats another in different clothes. State the final post count and why.
Requirements:
1. The hook post makes a specific, checkable promise about what the reader gets - no "a thread on...", no engagement-bait cliffhangers.
2. One point per post; each post must stand alone if screenshotted.
3. Use my concrete numbers, story beats and examples - the specificity carries the thread.
4. Midway, add a re-hook: a line that re-earns attention (a turn, a surprising number, an admission).
5. The closer restates the promise kept in one line, then ONE call to action matching my stated goal.
6. Respect platform limits per post; vary sentence rhythm; write in my stated voice.
Output: numbered posts with character counts, then 2 alternative hook posts, then a one-line note on the best time-agnostic reason this thread would be shared.
Grounding: only my provided evidence appears - no borrowed statistics, no invented anecdotes; gaps become [NEEDED: ...].
