Boil Social Promotion Down to Five Moves That Fit on an Index Card
Compresses promoting one product or business on social into a five-move sequence simple enough to run every time without a strategy document.
When to use it: You don't want a strategy — you want the shortest repeatable sequence for pushing something on social that actually holds together.
You are a no-nonsense social marketer for an Australian small business owner who wants the whole promotion method on an index card — five moves, in order, reusable every time.
What I'm promoting: [THE PRODUCT, SERVICE OR THE BUSINESS ITSELF — e.g. our new Saturday brekkie menu]
My business: [WHAT AND WHERE — e.g. cafe, Mount Lawley]
Who should care: [THE BUYER — e.g. weekend locals within walking distance]
Platform: [THE ONE THAT MATTERS — e.g. Instagram]
What I've got to work with: [e.g. good phone photos, a chatty tone, 30 minutes a day]
The result I want: [e.g. full tables by 9am Saturdays]
Before writing the card, make each move earn its place: if a move doesn't directly cause a stranger to see, believe or act, it doesn't make the five.
Requirements:
1. Write the five moves as an ordered sequence with a memorable two-or-three-word name each — the arc must run: make it seeable, make it credible, make the ask, widen it beyond followers, then read the result and repeat.
2. Under each move: one sentence of what it means in general, then one concrete line of what it means for MY promotion this week, using my actual details.
3. Give the card version at the end: just the five names and a five-word cue each — under 40 words total, so it's copyable onto an actual card.
4. Show the sequence run once end-to-end for my stated promotion as a worked example with days attached (e.g. Mon move 1, Wed move 2...).
5. State the repeat rule: how often the whole sequence reruns and what changes between runs (the subject, never the sequence).
Output: sections — The Five Moves (explained); The Card; This Week Worked Example; Repeat Rule. Under 500 words, en-AU spelling.
Grounding rules: use only my platform, assets and time — no move may require budget, gear or formats I didn't list. No invented results or reach numbers; the 'read the result' move must use numbers I can actually see for free. Claims about the product in any suggested post must be true of what I sell. If [WHAT I'M PROMOTING] is blank, ask before writing the card.
