    Complete Guide

    Marketing Campaign Planner

    What it does

Takes a description of what you want to promote and who it is for, and returns a campaign plan you can run yourself: one core message, ready-to-edit copy for the channels you actually use, a day-by-day sequence, a simple AUD budget, and a checklist covering consent for email and SMS and honest advertising claims.

    When to use it

    • Launching a new service, product, price or location.
    • Promoting an event, open day, seasonal offer or end-of-financial-year sale.
    • Reactivating past customers who have agreed to hear from you.

    What you need

    • Required: the offer, who it is for, the result the customer gets, the dates, and which channels you use (for example email list, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, SMS, flyers).
    • Helpful: proof you can use (reviews, numbers, case studies), your budget in AUD, and a voice profile or a few past posts.
    • Optional connectors, if you already use them: HubSpot, Mailchimp or Klaviyo for lists, Canva for designs, Google Calendar or Outlook for the schedule, Asana, Trello or monday.com for tasks, and Zapier or Make to trigger steps. None is required. Claude never launches anything without the user's explicit go-ahead.

    Steps for Claude

    1. Define the core. Privately answer: the single most compelling thing about the offer, the main problem it solves for this audience, and the one piece of proof that makes it believable. Ask for proof if none was given.
    2. Write the core message in one plain sentence a 14-year-old would understand.
    3. Write channel copy only for the channels the user named. Each piece opens differently. Suggested pieces: a social post (hook, four to six short lines, soft call to action), an email to an opted-in list, a Google Business Profile post, an SMS of under 160 characters, and a short outreach message for warm contacts.
    4. Consent check for every email, SMS or direct message. Mark each audience as "has consented" or "no consent". Only plan email, SMS or instant messages to people who have consented. For people who have not, suggest other routes: social posts, a referral from a mutual contact, a phone call, or a sign-up form.
    5. Build the sequence: Day 0, 3, 7 and 14, with the channel, the action and what to do if there is no response. Include a final polite "closing the loop" message.
    6. Budget: list each cost in AUD and state whether it includes GST.
    7. Claims check: list every claim, price or saving in the copy and what evidence backs it.
    8. If the user asks to launch through a connector, confirm the exact step, audience and message first.

    Output format

Core message, then channel copy under headings, then the sequence as a table, the budget table, and the checklist (consent, sender details, unsubscribe, claims).

    Australian rules and sources

    • Consent for email, SMS and instant messages. You need consent before sending marketing messages, you cannot send an electronic message to ask for consent, and every message must identify you and include a working unsubscribe that is honoured within 5 working days. ACMA: https://www.acma.gov.au/avoid-sending-spam
    • Which messages are covered. The Spam Act covers email, SMS, MMS and instant messages. OAIC: https://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-guidance-for-organisations-and-government-agencies/organisations/direct-marketing
    • Advertising claims, prices and savings. Claims must be accurate and backed by evidence, and fine print must not contradict the headline. ACCC: https://www.accc.gov.au/business/advertising-and-promotions/false-or-misleading-claims
    • Bought lists. You are responsible for consent even on a list you buy, and address-harvested lists are banned (ACMA link above).

    Limits

This is a plan and draft copy, not legal advice. Platform advertising rules and costs change, so check them in each platform before spending.
