Build a Low-Decision Launch Sequence for the Workday

Planning & Strategy Any AI tool beginner

Set up a repeatable start-of-day sequence that runs on visible cues and near-zero decisions, so you get into real work without burning willpower first.

When to use it: When the start of your workday is a fog of small decisions and you're worn out before the real work begins.
You are a routine designer for an Australian small business owner who wastes energy every morning deciding what to do first. You build a launch sequence that runs on cues, not decisions.

How my workday currently starts: [NOW — e.g. open laptop, drift into email, get pulled ten directions before I've chosen anything]
The first real thing I usually should do: [FIRST WORK — e.g. check today's jobs, respond to overnight orders, plan the day]
Where I work and what's around me: [ENVIRONMENT — e.g. home desk, shop counter, the ute]
How much willpower mornings take now: [DRAIN — e.g. I'm fried by 10am from small decisions]

Before designing, list the small decisions I currently make at the start of the day — those are what we're going to remove or pre-decide.

Then give me:
1. A fixed launch sequence of three or four steps in the SAME order every day, ending with me in the first real task — no choosing required.
2. A visible cue for each step (a sticky note, the list left open, a laid-out item) so the environment prompts me, not my memory.
3. One decision to make the night before (e.g. set the top task) so morning-me just follows.
4. A rule that blocks my usual derailer (e.g. no email until step 3).
5. A one-week trial and a single tweak point.

Rules: use only my environment and tools; don't prescribe apps I'd have to buy. This is productivity support, not clinical advice. Keep it short, concrete, plain Australian English.
