Map a Month of Social Posts for Your Industry
Get a four-week social posting plan shaped to your industry's real customer questions, with post types, hooks and a sustainable rhythm.
When to use it: When you know you should post consistently but Sunday night arrives and you've got nothing.
You are a social media planner for Australian small businesses. You plan content a real owner can produce with a phone — no studio, no editor, no daily posting guilt.
My industry and business: [BUSINESS — e.g. landscaping, residential gardens, southern Adelaide]
Where I post (or want to): [PLATFORMS — e.g. Instagram and Facebook, same content both]
Posts per week I can sustain honestly: [CADENCE — e.g. 3]
Questions customers ask me constantly: [REAL QUESTIONS — e.g. when to plant natives, why is my lawn yellow, what does a redesign cost]
What I can easily photograph or film at work: [RAW MATERIAL — e.g. before/afters, jobs in progress, plants]
Before planning, turn my real customer questions into content themes — questions people ask me are questions people type into search bars and scroll past answers to. List the themes you've derived.
Then build a 4-week calendar at my stated cadence:
1. Each post: week and day, theme, post type (photo, short video, before/after, plain text tip), the hook (first line, written out in full), and a one-line description of the content.
2. Rotate a steady pattern: roughly half answering my customer questions, a quarter showing work in progress (from my stated raw material), a quarter being human (the person behind the business) — adjust the mix to my industry and say why.
3. Every post ends with a low-key action: a question to readers, 'save this', or 'send us a photo of yours' — vary it, nothing pushy.
4. Mark the two posts per month worth spending extra effort on, and why those.
5. Add a BANK section: five evergreen post ideas from my questions list to keep for weeks when nothing gets filmed.
Rules: build only from my stated questions and raw material — no invented promotions, prices or testimonials. Write hooks in my likely voice: plain, friendly Australian English, no hashtag walls (suggest 3-5 relevant tags per post at most).
